function room hire since 1934

At the HGC Club we are proud to be one the oldest social clubs and event venues in Hall Green, Birmingham. We have a function room that is available to hire and is perfect for both social and business events and occasions.

A deposit of £100 (cash only) is required to secure the room. This deposit is refunded 24hrs after your function.
We will hold 18th-21st birthday parties, please contact us for details.
The room will not be considered booked until the deposit is paid.
The deposit is not refundable if the room is cancelled.
We are unable to accept children’s parties or baby shower parties
The bar will close at 11.30pm and the room must be vacated by 11.50pm. An extension may be available, but must be requested at the time of booking.
Children are welcome; however, we do ask that all children are fully supervised. We ask that for safety reasons children are not allowed to play on the car park.


Only alcohol purchased on the premises may be consumed on the premises‚ any guest found in breach of this condition will be asked to leave the club.

You are welcome to provide your own food, however there is a £40 charge. If you have professional caterers there is a £100 charge for a cold buffet and £200 for a hot buffet. The club can provide a catering service‚ please discuss your requirements when booking.

​We do ask that the room is cleared and cleaned by 11pm.

Entertainment must be provided by yourself.

Decorations, balloons and banners etc may be placed on walls, however only with blue/white tack may be used to adhere them (pins or staples must not be used).

Due to dishwasher damage, we ask not to use table confetti. The club can decorate the room for you. Please discuss this on day of booking.

PLEASE NOTE: The Function Room Is Available From 10.00am 7 days a week.
The club is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
The car park at the front of the building is available for your use.
The club cannot accept responsibility for any damage or loss that occurs.
Smoking is not allowed in any part of the building.
Anyone found in possession of‚ or using drugs will be asked to leave the premises.
We expect the room to be left in a clean and tidy manner.
The committee reserve the right to deduct cleaning charges from your deposit in the event that the room is not left as found.
​Any damage/breakages will be deducted from your £100 deposit.
